LMS, who provide Abbey's legal service for your remortgage
clients, have improved the legal process to make it a better
experience.
When LMS receives a remortgage case, a representative may
call your client to gather as much information as possible
to speed up the legal process. This call is in relation to
the legal side of the remortgage only and there is no attempt
to cross sell.

- Minimises the paperwork your client completes as they'll
receive a borrower pack containing pre-populated documents
based on the information they provide during the call
- Speeds up the legal process for your client by ensuring
a faster turnaround of paperwork to the law firm

4 easy steps you need to follow
- Obtain client contact numbers on the application form
to give us a better chance of contacting them
- Obtain existing lender details including mortgage account
number so we can request a redemption statement ensuring an
efficient service for your clients
- Position the call with your clients. If they're aware that
they may receive a call they'll feel more comfortable about
talking to us
- Advise them that they'll need to provide ID documents to
the law firm even though they've already provided them to
Abbey as part of the mortgage application.
